Factors such as skin type, lifestyle, age, metabolism, medications, and pigment color affect the longevity of your cosmetic tattoo. The sun will also affect the rate at which these pigments are broken down. A touch-up anywhere between 1 to 4 years depending on your skin and lifestyle will be required to keep your brows/lips looking fresh!
-
Absolutely! Maris takes pictures of her work within 10 minutes of the end of the procedure, so that's how you'll look when you leave. Your brows/lips will darken over the next 2-3 days, but most people will think you've used a darker brow pencil r more lip stick than normal. There will be a small amount of flaking as well.
PRO-TIP: To get the best results plan to avoid sweating, sun, and swimming for at least ten days after.

We require anyone who has had their brows/lips previously tattooed/microbladed by another artist to book an in-person consultation before booking an appointment.
We cannot take all correction cases and will need to see your previous work to determine if we can take you on as a client. Working over previous tattooing is very difficult and can be unpredictable as the type of pigment/method used by the previous artist is unknown.
Correction appointments are far more time consuming and require higher level of expertise. ANYONE with previous work MUST be pre-approved by Maris prior to booking. If you arrive at your appointment with previous work and did not reach out to us before hand, your appointment will be canceled and you will be charged a cancelation fee.
We also offer Saline Lighting/Removal for those clients who are not good correction candidates!
-
Every client has a new, sterile , single use needle. At the start of the appointment, you can observe the needle being taken out of a sterile package. On completion of the procedure, the needles are placed into a sharps container and then disposed of correctly. In addition, all items that come in contact with the client are fully disposable and single use.
Maris and Wild Violet are fully licensed, certified, insured as well as Tennessee Health Department inspected and approved and Maris maintains a Blood Born Pathogen training and certification.
-
The pain level for the procedure is considered mild for most clients. Two types of topical anesthetics are used to make sure you comfortable during the procedure; however, pain tolerance varies from client to client.
-
Yes, but if you follow Maris’ aftercare to the letter, you should scab very little!
-
The initial sessions take about 2-2.5 hours, depending on the type of appointment. During this session, I will shape and style your brows/lips and make any changes needed. We then follow with pigment color selection. Once you are satisfied with the choices, we will apply numbing cream and begin the procedure.
The second perfecting session takes place 6-12 weeks after the initial session. This session will take approximately 1-1.5 hours to complete.
