What our apprenticeship program is like:

  • Under Maris’s direct supervision, you’ll get hands-on training in nano brows, microblading, ombré powder brows, lip blush, and fine-line tattoos. Each technique focuses on precision, artistry, and customized results for each client.

  • At Wild Violet, each artist follows their own path. Our mentorship offers one-on-one sessions and tailored feedback to answer questions, improve skills, and grow your craft.

  • You learn best by doing. As an apprentice you’ll work on real models and clients with our guidance, practicing every step of PMU—consultation, brow mapping, application, and aftercare. This hands-on training builds your skills and confidence in a supportive setting.

  • Safety is crucial in PMU. You’ll learn strict sanitation and safety steps: skin prep, sterilizing tools, and protecting clients. We’ll teach all safe PMU practices so you can work confidently in any professional setting.

PROGRAM DURATION AND REQUIREMENTS

Our one-year apprenticeship provides a comprehensive, hands-on education. You’ll complete the required practical hours for every PMU service we teach, receiving regular evaluations and constructive feedback to monitor your progress and skill improvement. We offer a clear, guided path that fulfills all necessary requirements for state licensure, including practice hours and observation by a licensed professional. We also support you in building a strong PMU portfolio, marketing your services effectively, and launching your own PMU business.

WHAT DOES THE PMU APPRENTICESHIP COST?

There is no cost for the apprenticeship and you will work on commission, which will start when your apprenticeship license gets the thumbs up from Tennessee’s Health Department. You will also be responsible for a basic online training program (Maris can advise you what to take depending on what your focus is)
