PRE + POST CARE
LET’S START WITH A CLEAN SLATE. Follow these instructions prior to coming to your appointment.
NO CAFFEINE or ALCOHOL 12 HOURS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
NO BLOOD-THINNERS 24 HOURS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
(Vitamin E, fish oil, Niacin, Ibuprofen, Aspirin, prescription blood thinners)
NO TANNING ONE WEEK BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
NO BOTOX, RETINOL, HARSH ACIDS OR EYEBROW GROTH SERUMS THREE WEEKS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
NO CHEMICAL PEELS OR LASER TREATMENTS SIX WEEKS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
FOR LIP BLUSH ONLY: Your lips must be moisturized and not cracked, dry or chapped. Use a gentle scrub 3-5 days prior to your appointment and I recommend using Aquaphor in the week prior to keep lips as moisturized as possible.
History of cold sores (even just one)? you must take a prescription antiviral medication such as Acyclovir to take 3 days prior and 3 days after your Lip Blush appointment.
Reminder, anyone with any of the following at the time of the appointment CANNOT be accepted:
Younger than 18 years of age
Pregnant/Nursing
Using Accutane or have used Accutane within 1 year from appointment date
Freshly tanned/sunburned face
Chemo or Radiation within 6 months from appointment date
Viral infections (cold/flu/etc.) or disease the day of appointment
On immunosuppressants the day of appointment
On antibiotics the day of appointment
BROW POST CARE:
No products (makeup/skin care, etc.) on brows for 14 days other than the provided soap + balm
No picking or scratching brows and do not sleep on your face (use a clean pillowcase) for 14 days
No swimming pools, hot tubs, very hot showers, sweating, etc. for 14 days. Use provided face shields when washing hair
Avoid facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion, etc. for 3 weeks
No UV exposure, direct sunlight or tanning for 4 weeks, apply SPF 30+ daily after 3 weeks. UV exposure will fade/discolor pigment!
No harsh products or products containing regeneration factors or exfoliants on forehead or brows for 4 weeks. These products should never be applied directly to brows, they will fade/discolor pigment!
LIP POST CARE:
No products on lips for 1 week (other than balm + soap)
No picking or scratching lips.
No spicy foods or alcohol for the first 24 hours
No foreign body fluids in or around the lips for 5 days
No swimming pools, hot tubs, etc. for 14 days
No UV exposure, direct sunlight or tanning for 7 days
No extreme sweating for the first 5 days
No harsh products on lips. exfoliants, retinol acids, glycolic acids and alpha hydroxy acids for 30 days
No massages or facials for 10 days
