ABOUT THIS TECHNIQUE

What is LIP BLUSH?

Lip Blush is a cosmetic lip tattoo that uses a precision machine and ultra-fine needle cartridges to deposit pigment into the lips, enhancing natural color, shape, and symmetry. Rather than creating a heavy lipstick effect, the goal is a soft wash of color that improves definition while still looking natural once healed.

The result is a balanced, softly tinted lip that improves uneven tone, loss of color, or blurred borders. Once healed, the lips appear healthier and more defined — like your natural lips, just enhanced.

Does it hurt? The lips are sensitive, but topical numbing is used before and during the procedure to keep you comfortable.

Will it look natural? Yes. Lip Blush is designed to create a soft wash of color that enhances your natural lip tone rather than replacing it. Once healed, the result looks balanced, subtle, and like your lips — just softly enhanced.

PREPARE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

Following these steps helps us achieve the best possible result and ensures a smoother, more comfortable experience.

3-4 WEEKS BEFORE: Stop Retin-A and AHA products near the lips. Skip chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and harsh facials. If you have lip fillers or laser treatments planned, schedule those at least 4 weeks before or after your appointment — not close together.

1 WEEKS BEFORE: Avoid sun exposure and tanning.

3 DAYS BEFORE: Apply Vitamin A&D ointment throughout the day and gently exfoliate your lips, especially the center. Begin taking an antiviral — recommended even if you've never had a cold sore.

48 HOURS BEFORE: Avoid blood thinners (aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, fish oil, ibuprofen) and lip plumping products.

24 HOURS BEFORE: Avoid alcohol and caffeine.

DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT: Skip exercise. Lips should be free of dryness, chapping, or irritation — we may need to reschedule if lip skin isn't properly prepped. Come with or without makeup, whichever you're comfortable with; we'll take before/after photos, and feel free to bring lip color inspiration if you'd like.

Active cold sore or lip irritation? Please wait until fully healed before booking.

It's normal to be a little nervous — take a breath, and let's create lips that are actually yours.
